The Taylor (or Tomahawk) percussion reflex hammer for assessing myotatic (often patellar and ankle) and cutaneous reflexes is the classic hammer design, featuring a triangular rubber head and flat stainless-steel handle. Lighter than the other versions it is used for myotatic and plantar responses with less effort and greater patient comfort.
